Sick.

Oh the joys of being sick. Last week in PCB, I could begin to feel a tickle in my throat around Thursday and I knew that it was only a matter of time until I would see the full-blown effects of whatever was coming on. Well, the day finally came and by the afternoon on Monday I was feeling so congested and coughing up a storm! Luckily these symptoms did not come on until after I had finished nannying and I was well enough to attend my classes. I started drinking as much water and orange juice as I could handle, took a nap, tried to get as much of my work done as possible, popped a nyquil, and was sound asleep by 9pm (which is pretty rare!). I woke up in the middle of the night with a fever, but it had passed by morning. Yesterday I was not feeling too much better but I continued to take dayquil/nyquil and drink lots of fluids and I was again in bed by 9pm. Today I am definitely feeling better. Still not 100%, but well enough to nanny and go to class. I can only hope that tonight I can get to bed early as well because nothing can cure a cold like a full night of sleep!

A positive of being sick though is it allows lots of down time to just think. Lying in bed these past few days has given me time to journal and read the bible and just reflect some more on what God has been doing in my life. I am currently trying to grasp the concept of his love. It just baffles me. God loves me SO much. He loves us more than we will ever be able to comprehend--it is such a cool concept! I hope that as you are reading this you too will be encouraged to discover God's love for you and how precious you are to him!

I also didn't get the opportunity to post any pictures from Big Break in my previous post so I wanted to post a few of my favorites from the week:
My Friend Logan and I

My roommate for the week-Tiffany with our suitemate for the week- Ali

A beautiful sunset outside of our room one evening

Being goofy with our emcee's- Andy and Shelby! After this shot they even included us in one of their videos for the conference! (My goofy headband and Bethany's cat face are remnants of a creative date from earlier that night)

Shannon and I in the Love Seat of Love!

My friend Brianna leading worship

So, needless to say these pictures are just further proof of the awesome experience I had last week! I miss it so much!

Tomorrow I am off to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins in Tennessee and to receive some good 'ol TLC! I'm hoping the TLC will be enough to kick this cold!!
