...Or should i say lay? I am currently laying in my bed at 2:51 AM...why you ask? Well there are many reasons that occurred tonight/will occur tomorrow leading up to this...
1. Tonight was Dan Flynn's last Cru after 19 years. Alumni from all 19 years came to show their support and love for Dan. It was a very emotional evening that ran until 11pm because of everyone expressing their gratitude towards Dan and the impact that he has had on their lives. I am sincerely going to miss Dan and it blows my mind that he left such a legacy and it will be interesting to see how Cru will change without him as our campus director. I am very excited for he and Paula though and I know they have a great future in store for them.
2. After not eating much of a dinner, at 11pm once Dan's farewell finished up I had an urge for Waffle House. So me and my friends piled into cars and headed off to the fine institution that is Waffle House. Mmm....their waffles are so delicious! It was a lot of fun, but we didn't get back to our dorm until 1:30.
3. While at Waffle House, I got a text from my uncle (who is coming down from Massachusetts for the Richmond NASCAR rice) that he would be passing JMU at 1:30AM. Needless to say, I called him and told him I was actually still awake and I'd love to see him. My Uncle Robbie is more than just an uncle to me--he's also a dad to me and also a brother to me so I love spending time with him. We ended up sitting and talking in his car until about 2:45. It was great to catch up with him and I'm so excited I had the opportunity to do that, he's such a great uncle.
4. In approximately 1 hour my suite will be rising to watch the Royal Wedding...sooo why sleep for just an hour?? I am so excited for the wedding and to watch that part of history and to make memories doing so with my friends. We will be watching while munching on donuts and of course drinking large amounts of coffee.
After the wedding and coffee I then have a tb test for my practicum next semester at 7:45AM (woo) and then I nanny 9-2pm and then the Cru end of year picnic is 2-5 and then I will be studying from about 6-10 for my 8am Saturday morning history final!! So sometime in there I am hoping to be able to squeeze in a nap time--we'll see what happens though!!
Finally, I officially attended my last class of sophomore year today so now all that's standing between me and summer is 4 finals... I got this!
